About Us
For over seven years, the Fatima University Gallery (FUG or Gallery), in all its 57-square-meter glory, calmly existed at the top floor of the San Vicente Building in the Valenzuela City Campus. With five major exhibits and several secondary shows, the FUG was certainly not idle.
It was only a matter of time when the Administration and Board of Trustees of Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) would assent to the idea of giving the FUG and its growing collection a new home at the lobby of St. Catherine’s Hall in the Antipolo City Campus on June 2011.
​The Gallery features the works of talented and multi-awarded past, modern, and contemporary Filipino artists who embody the uncompromising spirit of the Filipino virtuoso. The FUG attempts to give the impression to the students and to the community of learners that though the University has yet to found a Fine Arts or a Design program, they are still in the company of winning and acclaimed artists; some of whom are and were even involved in the academe themselves. After all, it is the aspiration of the institution that its students and alumni would one day also merit recognition and success.
​The FUG encourages the students to discover and appreciate the artworks and the artists who masterfully created them.
It is in this process of discovery and appreciation wherein the realization that indeed, one need not be an artist or a Fine Arts student to enjoy art, shall break new ground; a veritable improvement on one’s humanity.
